A Glass Waterfall
A Glass Waterfall

Glass is a very transparent material. Because of this feature, it is able to merge with the water. This fact determines the widespread use of glass in combination with water. For such purposes, Starphire Glass is particularly well suited, since it does not have a bluish tint.

Glass pools can impress and entertain guests. Overhanging pools with a transparent bottom or sides are particularly impressive. Also, glass is an indispensable material for creating fences around the pool.

Glass in the bathroom also looks very nice. The bath of this material can create a feeling of unlimited space. Clear glass harmonizes well not only with the water inside the bath but also with the mirror, which is a non-replaceable attribute of any bathroom.

For the same reasons, glass is used to create fountains and other interior and exterior decorations that use water. An example of the original design of the street could be the whirlpool fountain named Charybdis.

A glass bridge, as a rule, causes a feeling of adrenaline due to the illusion of lack of coverage under your feet. Such a bridge is of general interest and delight. But the glass bridges that run above the water look especially beautiful. Due to their transparency, they harmoniously merge with the surface of the water. If the bridge has a transparent floor, passersby can observe the waves from any point of the bridge.

Stained glass allows combining a work of art and practical interior decoration. Most often colored stained glass replace ordinary glass in windows and doors. However, the scope of their use is almost unlimited. According to the basic principles of appearance and production, stained glass windows are divided into several main types.

Color Stained Glass
Stacked stained glass is a classic stained glass made by cutting out individual elements from different colored glass. After that, they stack together to create a general image. The pieces of glass are joined by high temperature.

Brazed stained glass is created of color pieces of glass, which are combined into one picture by use of a special lead profile.

Facet stained glass.  Such a stained glass window is made of glass, which is cut in a special way. A chamfer is cut along the perimeter of each glass, which enhances the light refractive and reflective properties. This type of stained glass implies a large thickness. Therefore, the frame of this type of stained glass should be strong enough.

Painted stained glass involves the application of special paints on the glass surface. It can be performed by using either monolithic glass or welded glass elements. This method makes it easy to put various inscriptions and small details of the picture.

Sandblasted stained glass, as a rule, is a colorless glass with a frosted pattern.

Patterned stained glass windows. This type of glass focuses not on the color palette, but on the shape of the patterns.

The combined stained glass window can integrate all the techniques of stained glass, which are described above.

NY Tempered glass is often used in applications where using standard glass could pose a potential danger. Tempered glass is stronger than standard glass and does not shatter into large shards when broken, this is important because it can greatly minimize potential danger in the case of a break. Manufactured through a process of extreme heating and rapid cooling, tempered glass is much harder than normal glass.
In the case that tempered glass does break, it shatters into small pebbles that are void of dangerous, sharp edges. As tempered glass is considered to be much safer than normal glass, you may often here it referred to as safety glass or toughened glass. Tempered glass has a wide variety of uses and you’ll find in just about everywhere. In fact, the shower doors in your bathroom or the side glass on a motor vehicle are examples of tempered glass.
Another benefit of tempered glass is the ability to stand up to moderate heat (470°F). The process that creates this strengthened glass also makes it heat-resistant. This makes tempered glass a great solution for a situation where there is a danger of the glass breaking due to impact or moderate heat. Tempered glass is often used for fireplace doors (not woodstoves), on masonry and prefabricated fireplaces equipped with a grate to hold the burning wood. If tempered glass is exposed to higher temperatures, it gradually weakens the structure of the glass thus making it more susceptible to breakage.
